Matsutake is a rare wild mushroom that cannot be artificially cultivated. It grows only in virgin pine forests above 3,000 m. Each summer and autumn, foragers venture into Shangri-La and Yajiang to harvest the "king of mushrooms" with its unique pine aroma.
